Only spent 3 days here wish it had been longer!! Very clean, comfortable, warm bungalow. Well equipped, very convenient for dog walks on the beach. Loved the fact it was all on one level as were both in our senior years. Hopefully, be back later in the year.

This is a splendid holiday home. Very clean and well kept, bedrooms light and airy. Kitchen is modern and very well equipped. Fantastic location – you are 5 minutes walk from beach and Croyde village. We will be back to Sitting Pretty for sure.

We have just spent a short break at Sitting Pretty and couldn’t be happier with our whole experience from location to the standard of accommodation.

The location is fantastic for exploring the coast; we have visited Ilfracombe, Woolacombe, Coombe Martin, Lynton & Lynmouth, Braunton, Saunton Sands & not forgetting Croyde Beach. Everywhere is so easily accessible if you stick to the A roads where possible and not listen to Google Maps it had us down some pretty narrow roads at times!! Google is not always the best option.

Sitting Pretty has everything you could want for a home away from home, it is warm & cosy and joy above joy provides a nonstick frying pan! Taking regular short breaks in October I have got used to taking my own frying pan for the all-important full English to set us up for days walking our dogs, most properties do not have a nonstick frying pan which causes no end of frustrations for those who have the broken egg. It’s the little things that make a holiday into a fantastic holiday and Belinda has thought of everything to provide us with a thoroughly enjoyable break.

We have covered many miles walking our dogs who we think are now broken as they have slept the whole way home, lumbered into the house and are still snoozing, evidence they have enjoyed their break too. We think they will be missing the walk to the pub tonight for a pint (for us ) and a packet of scratchings (for them) oh well all good things have to come to an end.

We can’t recommend Sitting Pretty highly enough and would love to return.

Had a great time, the weather was good, facilities were excellent. Had lovely walks through the fields and down to the beach. Local shops and eating places are not too far down the hill.

Just arrived home after a week’s holiday at Sitting Pretty. Firstly, the weather was lousy, only two decent days the whole time. Rather disappointed. Secondly, the property was lovely and exceptionally well appointed. Plenty of cutlery, crockery, etc. Also loads of games and DVD were available which was excellent as we had a 10 and 12 year old with us. Relatively easy to reach the superb beach and a flat walk into the village. Not much to do in the village itself!

The only criticism we had, although because of the weather if wasn’t really a problem, was the garden/patio furniture left a lot to be desired.
Apart from that, all excellent.

Enjoyed a weekend break in Croyde with a group of friends. Making the most of the beach, waves and the beautiful village of Croyde. The house is in a perfect location, with everything we needed for and weekend to remember. Also the owner made the experience even better, by being such a pleasure to deal with. Perfect! Dog Friendly!
We just had our first holiday with our new puppy and it was perfect. It is located very close to the beach and a short walk to the village centre.
The house was fully equipped with everything a family of 4 + Puppy could possibly need.
We will be going back. Highly recommend it.

Stayed at “Sitting Pretty” for a quick weekend and loved the cottage and the area. Ideal for families with pets as it’s so close to the beach and village and although in the high season dogs are not allowed on Croyde beach, there are walks by the dunes straight from the cottage and other dog-friendly beaches very close by. A cosy and really clean cottage, we loved it.

First holiday property rental for 24 years as I usually camp, having two dogs, but Sitting Pretty was perfect, and Belinda’s answers to my many pre-booking queries gave me all the confidence that this was the right choice for a much-needed holiday. Turned out to be perfect 🙂

Sitting Pretty I feel is the best-located rental property in the cul-de-sac, as it is central to the green, with shrubs opposite, plus the property’s own trees to give some privacy, plenty ample side drive width, safe enclosed rear garden/patio for dogs/children plus small areas of earth/shrubs in rear paved garden for dogs who aren’t keen on weeing on hard surfaces! A lovely sun-trap too.

Light, airy, so well-equipped, esp kitchen, lounge and bedrooms, many helpful and home-from-home touches. Not a sterile rental but a lovely welcoming home with fresh bread and milk if desired on arrival left by cleaner. Ample entrance hall with bench and coat hooks/shelf and bathroom off with folding clothes horse, plus full-size f/freezer and super-equipped kitchen were perfect for our stay as dietary and disability needs meant we didn’t eat out but fully self-catered (2 adults and 2 collie-sized dogs). A really warm, cosy property, with books, games, dvd’s, Freeview, and wifi all included. Shower and bath very handy and with no properties directly adjoining rear, Sitting Pretty was a peaceful location with beach and village easily and safely reached without roads to worry about. Highly recommended!

We had a car and visited Braunton, Barnstable (good leisure centre and 25m pool), Woolacombe, Ilfracombe, Lynton, Lynmouth, Woody Bay steam train (accepts dogs, as does) Clovelley, and found lovely quiet country lanes to travel by. Ask for disability/carer discounts at attractions as these aren’t publicised but were available eg free steam train and Clovelly entrance fee for carer; no blue badge parking concessions or tax-exempt due to disability free parking anywhere but park at Braunton Burrows for £1.50 taking route past toll road rather than £4 charge at Saunton Hotel beach car park. Happy holiday!

It was our first stay at Sitting Pretty but won’t be out last. The house is lovely, very spacious (use of the garden and shed too) and has everything you need. The location is great and the road is private, so it’s very quiet! Can’t wait to visit again!

Although we have been to Croyde many times, this was our first time staying in Sitting Pretty and it most certainly won’t be our last. Wow, what a stunning place. Just got back from an amazing week in Croyde staying at the lovely Sitting Pretty. Sitting Pretty is gorgeous, feels so homely and has everything you need for the family. It’s a lovely short walk to the beach and the pub which is a bonus:) The owners are extremely helpful and accommodating. I would definitely strongly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to visit Croyde. We can’t wait to go back there as soon as possible!
